This neverending heat is a constant reminder we are still deep in the throes of summer. Another indication? Feeling a bit strung out from all the day drinking at pool parties, barbecues, and other festivities. Which is why we are oh-so-excited to see that Katy Perry’s non-alcoholic beverage company, De Soi, has released a booze-free rosé powered by none other than the mighty mushroom. 

The brand’s new Très Rosé contains brain-boosting lion’s mane mushroom, so that instead of killing off your brain cells with booze, you can supercharge them. It also includes L-theanine, which has been shown to relieve stress, improve mood, and aid sleep. So while you won’t get a buzz from this vino, you may feel a bit of an emotional lift—and skipping a hangover certainly helps! 

Très Rosé comes in a can, but don’t let that dissuade you from replacing your favorite pink wine with it. While it doesn’t taste exactly like Whispering Angel, it has its own unique whimsical flavor profile of tart raspberry mixed with earthy rooibos and finished with a hint of saffron. In other words, it’s rich yet refreshing, the perfect drink for a hot summer day spent poolside. Use it to supplement or replace boozy beverages and finish out the summer strong (read: sober, or at least more sober than you might have been without mushrooms!).
